David Warner will be captain of the Delhi Capitals, and a replacement for Pant has been announced for the IPL 2023: Rishabh Pant is out for the season due to injury, and Warner will fill in for the time being. He is one of six captains to have won the IPL at least once. Captaincy has never been a hindrance to his batting in the tournament, with 2840 runs scored at a 47.33 average. Overall, he is the league’s leading overseas run-getter.
