Paul Collingwood, the former captain of England, heaped praise on India’s star player, Virat Kohli. He stated that the batsman’s form has returned and that he is now “a threat to all countries.” Virat Kohli scored a century on the fourth day of the fourth Test against Australia in Ahmedabad, concluding a 1205-day wait for his first Test century.
Kohli scored his 28th hundred in the format. There were 41 innings between his previous Test century and this one, with the previous one occurring in November 2019 against Bangladesh. The right-handed batsman scored 186 runs, and his innings were instrumental in India drawing with Australia and advancing to the World Test Championship final against Australia.
“Now that he is back in form, he poses a threat to all nations. He is an exceptional batter who can score runs in any situation “Collingwood stated to ANI.
Kohli has accumulated a total of 75 international centuries. He is second on the list of batters with the most international tons, which Sachin Tendulkar tops.
In the meantime, Collingwood discussed Rishabh Pant and wished him a speedy recovery.
“He is the greatest batter. His playing style is phenomenal, and he has the ability to turn the tide of the game, but he is not currently participating in cricket. I would love to see him back on the field…the cricket world desperately needs him “Collingwood said.
