Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis reached Bangalore on Tuesday evening. The man had arrived to get ready for the next season of the Indian Premier League in 2023. In the previous season, Du Plessis took the team to the playoff stage, But this season, the team have not played as much well as in previous season. He succeeded Virat Kohli in the 2022 season. The first SA20 League featured a national miss, the free-wheeling South African batter in his element, no longer in the national set-up; doing well for the Jo’Burg Super Kings.
The skipper also spoke how it would be playing an IPL game in front of a full house at Bangalore and he is excited for it.
“I really like being back in bangalore. I LOVE IT” Didn’t get to see the home crowd last season Can’t wait to play in a full stadium this year! I am really looking forward to that. RCB had posted a video of what Faf mentioned.
We last played in the SA League. “Hopefully, I can get started back up and give it a go.”
The captain said that he spoke to the key players and coaches and would monitor as they carried injuries and recovered ahead of the season. He also said, that having the team together a week before the IPL, would help team prepare.
RCB will look to salvage their poor Women’s T20 Challenge record this season by impressing in the Indian Premier League.
