OPENING CEREMONY OF IPL 2023 :
The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League is scheduled to begin on March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The first game of the season will see Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat bind competing against MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings. (CSK). GT is the champions of this season meanwhile CSK has won four IPL titles. This apart, the BCCI has also organised a grand opening ceremony on the same day at 6pm IST. They will be performed by Tamannaah Bhatia and Arijit Singh in the evening full of masti, and this event is telecasted all over India.
The first match of IPL 2023 will be between MI and RCB and the toss of the first match of IPL 2023 will take place at 7 p.m. IST and the first ball of the new season will be thrown at 7. 30 p.m. IST. Various new rules will be introduced in IPL 2023, such as the impact player rule. Competing teams have the option to select their starting 11 after a toss before the start of this year.
Event’s Start Time:
The opening ceremony starts at 6 p.m. IST, an hour before the toss. The event will go for 45 minutes. Groundkeepers take at least another 10 to 15 minutes to get the field game-ready following the ceremony. The first ball will be rolled out at 7.30 p.m. IST.
